I have included relevant news on most of my pages. If there is a certain subject that you would like the news about, chances are pretty good that you will find it on the page for that subject. Links to individual news pages are also included on this page to the right.
One thing that I have learned about news articles is that you can't always believe what you read or hear. I will usually try to dig a little deeper if something really interests me to find out the truth.
I have seen a growing problem in this country with people believing everything they hear and being swayed back and forth on issues. With the internet, we don't have to be mislead anymore. Just do your due diligence and research the topic before making a final decision.
The whole world is out there for us to research. We can now make wiser decisions than ever before, or just sit back and let others tell us what to think.

I received the following email that was supposed to be from Paypal, which I am a member of. Had the PayPal logo and looked perfectly fine.
Dear valued PayPal® member:
PayPal® is committed to maintaining a safe environment for its community of
buyers and sellers. To protect the security of your account, PayPal employs
some of the most advanced security systems in the world and our anti-fraud
teams regularly screen the PayPal system for unusual activity.
Recently, our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your
account. In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement and to ensure that your
account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your
account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved. This
is a fraud prevention measure meant to ensure that your account is not
compromised.
In order to secure your account and quickly restore full access, we may
require some specific information from you for the following reason:
We would like to ensure that your account was not accessed by an
unauthorized third party. Because protecting the security of your account
is our primary concern, we have limited access to sensitive PayPal account
features. We understand that this may be an inconvenience but please
understand that this temporary limitation is for your protection.

We encourage you to log in and restore full access as soon as possible.
Should access to your account remain limited for an extended period of

I am not going to publish the link, because although it looks official, it is a bogus link. I was suspicious, because as I have warned you before, it is unlikely for a bank or even PayPal to send information like that in an email. I got hold of PayPal and had them check it out. If you have any questions about an email from them, forward the email to spoof@paypal.com, then delete the email. I received a reply from them in a few short hours. The email WAS NOT from them. They are investigating the incident, but do not click on the link, and definately do not give out any information at the website of such a link you may get in an email.
If you receive an email such as this one that is suspicious, you can get in touch with the company in question through a link that you know is secure. One you have used in the past. I have always kept my emails from all businesses that I am registered with in a file in Outlook Explorer. Not only do I have a record of my usernames and passwords, but they will also have a secure link on them for me to check out later emails that may be bogus.
Keep informed and let others know when something like this happens to you, so you can keep them informed; just as you would in the real world.

Quickfound.net is one of the main tools I have been using to search and find things for my website. They are an information portal full of search engines, news, and so much more. They may not have everything on the internet yet, but they have alot that you either won't find or have to search much too hard for elsewhere.
They say, "The objective of the Quicksand Foundation is to help people to access information that will lead them to understand the planet Earth as an information processing subsystem within scenario Universe."
I don't know about that, but I do know that they have helped me with my little subsystem here on the internet universe find things that hopefully have helped you find things much easier.

SPACE SHUTTLE
I can still remember the day that of the Columbia disaster. Being still somewhat new to Florida, I was still amazed to be able to see most of the launches from my own backyard. I was excited to be able to possibly catch a glimpe of the Columbia coming home. The news in our area always would have all this live. They would even tell us when we could go out to watch, then replay it for us.
I went out back to listen for the sonic boom that they said we were sure to have and maybe actually get to see the shuttle coming in for the landing. I soon began to feel something had gone wrong and went back in to check the news. At that time, they still weren't sure what had happened. Our worse fears were soon realized, the first disaster upon re-entry had happened.
The rest is history now, but hopefully we will be wise and learn from history so we are not destined to repeat it.
